Drinking nutritious smoothies is a great way to get your calories or macros in. When I’m in muscle-building phases, eating all my food can be super hard. I find that I’m generally less satiated by a smoothie than I am with hard food, which is a good thing when I’m trying to consume an optimal amount of protein and calories. Just be careful, often smoothies and drinks possess an underestimated amount of calories!

Ingredients

6-8 oz unsweetened almond milk

1 large handful of spinach

1-2 T almond butter

1 scoop vanilla Tera’s Whey Organic Grass-Fed Protein Powder

1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Protein Powder

½ banana

1 t maca powder (optional)

Handful of ice

Water as needed

Blend until smooth!

~37g protein
